Cuba Climate
The Cuban climate is typically Caribbean (moderately sub tropical) with temperatures of 28°C in August, the hottest month, and 24°C in January. These temperatures together with over 330 sunny days a year give Cuba a superb climate. Humidity varies between 75 per cent and 95 per cent. In April-May and October-November it often rains heavily in the late afternoon around 5pm and although these showers are short lived, they are relatively intense.

The main fishing season runs from December to August. The beginning of the season can be a little windy and even the gentlest of sea breezes can impact on your casting. If you cannot single or double haul when casting, or are a bit rusty we recommend you have a lesson/practice before you arrive. This way you will be able to punch a line into the sea breeze to get to that elusive fish as and when required.

The peak fishing season is from February to June and most of the target species can be found on the flats. In the late season, July – August, the weather is hot but the fishing is still good. Being in the Caribbean, Cuba does have the potential to suffer from cyclones and the ‘season’ for these is generally September to November.
