Charco Azul
Charco Azul is a farm dedicated to the breeding of Belga and Percherones horses —similar to shire horses— and different types of oxen (red, white and shabra).
It is located 48 km from Havana city; close to Las Terrazas Community. The local flora and fauna is very rich, they have 12 endemic bird species and during the rides tocororos, cartacubas, green woodpeckers can be seen.
There is a main house with 4 DBL rooms and 3 other bungalows with 6 DBL rooms just by the pool and bar–restaurant area. All the rooms have air conditioner, private bathrooms with cold and hot water.
Charco Azul has wide areas for horseback riding, horse carriage rides, walking and resting. Specialized guides will escort you in all activities.
Equestrian week in Cuba
DAY 1
Arrival to Havana.
Private transfer to Equestrian Farm Charco Azul.
Lodging & Welcome dinner.
DAY 2
Brief tour around the farm + horse riding x 2,5 hrs.
DAY 3
Horse riding x 2,5 hrs / Afternoon: visit to Las Terrazas Community.
DAY 4
Transfer to Viñales. Horse riding x 3 hours. Lunch at El Veguero restaurant.
Transfer to Equestrian Farm La Guabina. Lodging. Welcome Dinner with typical Cuban live music.
DAY 5
Horse ride – “Cayo Grande route” – 6 hrs.
Night: Free
DAY 6
Horse ride – “Valle Isabel María route” – 6 hrs.
Night: Free
DAY 7
7:30am – Day trip to Cayo Levisa with lunch included, in the afternoon return to Havana to Saratoga Hotel, breakfast included.
DAY 8
Old Havana walked city tour / Transfer to Airport.

Notes:
- Horse ridings can include lunch and camping in other places. There are more than 6 different sites with different complexity grades from La Guabina that can be chosen once the client arrives to the farm.
- All lunches and dinners include 1 national non–alcoholic drink.
- Cayo Levisa, a small key located north to Pinar del Río. A maritime transfer from Palma Rubia where will take you to the Island. The excursion includes: All transfers + lunch with a national drink + beach access.
